I’m really excited to share this Stoke Newington wedding with you.
This was my kind of London wedding – relaxed, small (ish) and fun. When I met Cat and Ed in January, they had only just started planning their wedding in March. And they pulled it all off beautifully with a ceremony at the elegant Stoke Newington Town Hall and a wedding reception at the colourful Londesborough Pub.
I suspect one thing they weren’t expecting was snow on their March wedding. But as spring is still hiding away somewhere, we were treated to the mini beast from the East. And whilst the walk from the Town Hall to the pub was a little chilly, the snow made it pretty magical and memorable. How many London couples can say that it snowed on their wedding day?!
Cat was prepared for the occassion with a gorgeous little fur coat – perfect for a winter wedding. I also loved loved loved her dress, which showed off her bump beautifully. Cat and Ed are expecting a baby in May.
It was really lovely to be back at the eclectic and funky Londesborough pub. I had the pleasure of photographing Sally + Toby’s Stoke Newington wedding there last year. It is such a great place for pub wedding. The decor is cosy, quirky and vibrant, the food is delicious and the staff are super friendly.
One of my favourite moments from Cat and Ed’s wedding was the best man’s speech. Ed’s best friend, Jim decided to sing his speech accompanied by the guitar. It was very funny, heartfelt and original.
Congratulations, Cat and Ed! All the best for the coming months and the arrival of the little one. 2018 is an exciting year for you guys!
