I love a London wedding and this one was a real beauty!
Sally and Toby live in North London and wanted to get married somewhere local to them. They tied the knot at the beautiful Town Hall in Stoke Newington. The wedding reception was just around the corner at the wonderful Londesborough pub. Sally and Toby decided to walk to the pub with all their guests, which made for a fun and relaxed atmosphere and some great photos.
Sally looked lovely in a knee-length 60s inspired wedding dress, which she combined with her Mum’s veil. It was simple yet elegant and timeless and the colourful bouquet complimented it beautifully.
It was my first time photographing at the eclectic Londesborough pub. What a great place for a wedding reception! I loved the colourful and quirky decor and the staff were super friendly. Sally and Toby had done a wonderful job of decorating the pub with pretty DIY decorations. Sally had made the bunting herself from old and meaningful material. Sally and Toby dug out a fun photograph of each of their guests for the place settings. It was great to see people’s reactions when they first took a seat. I particularly loved the photograph on Sally’s place card – it shows her as a little girl wearing her Mum’s wedding dress and veil.
As soon as you meet Sally and Toby, it is very apparent that they are fun-loving people and that their friends and family are really important to them. All of this was reflected in their wedding day.
Sally’s family love playing party games. Just before dinner was served Sally’s Mum and Dad organised some fun and lively games, which got all the guests involved. Even I won a prize – an inflatable toy cow!
Sally and Toby – I wish you a lifetime of love, joy and laughter. It was a real pleasure to celebrate the day with you both and I’m sure you’ll be very happy together!
