Mildmay Club Wedding – Claire + Thom

I think I have just added a new entry to my list of favourite London wedding venues – the Mildmay Club.  What a great space for a party… a historic working men’s club with a retro feel and Wes Anderson vibe.

Claire and Thom are a fun and easy-going Canadian couple who had already tied the knot in their home country but wanted a celebration with their London friends. And what a celebration it was!

After meeting Claire and Thom in their flat around the corner from the Mildmay Club, we took some informal couple portraits in their neighbourhood, making the most of the pretty streets and the leafy Newington Green.

Claire and Thom aimed for more of an evening celebration than a traditional wedding, and they nailed it. The Mildmay Club provided the perfect backdrop for a laid-back party. After mingling with the guests and some very funny speeches, the dancefloor was opened with a Ceilidh. I always love how a Ceilidh brings everyone together.  This one was wild and joyous, and exactly what you would want from a Mildmay Club wedding.

Claire and Thom, thank you so much for having me.  It was a blast! I wish you all the happiness in the world!
