This was the first Holburn Studios wedding I had the pleasure to photograph. And what a brilliant day it was!
The lovely Holly got ready at the Nobu hotel in Shoreditch, which is very stylish and the staff are so friendly. Holly’s room overlooked colourful East London graffiti and the grey tones of the hotel room interior went so well with the beautiful bridesmaids’ dresses, All of which were made by the talented Holly herself who is a costume designer.
Holly and Hadyn picked the wonderful Holburn Studios for their fun and relaxed wedding – a photo studio in East London set on one of the city’s picturesque canals. What a great setting for wedding reception!
Holly and Hadyn are so obviously in love and it was clear that they loved every minute of their wedding day.
The humanist ceremony was incredibly romantic and funny, as humanist weddings often are. It was the second time that I had the pleasure of working with the brilliant celebrant Demelza Mai. I met her earlier this year at Alex and Zach’s Kew Garden wedding.
One of my favourite parts of the day was a song performed by Holly’s aunties. It was very funny and had the whole room in fits of laughter. Holly had warned me that there would be a good chance that her aunts would break out in to a song at some stage during the day as that’s just what they do! Brilliant!
Holly + Hadyn – you guys are the sweetest. It was so lovely documenting your wedding day for you and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
