Autumn is my favourite season. The light, the leaves and the colours make it the perfect time for a family portrait session.
This shoot was a local one for me. In fact, the lovely Oliver family lives in my street in Alexandra Palace in North London. So it was easy for me to think of a few locations for the session but as always the main thing was to keep things natural and relaxed. The autumn leaves made for a perfect backdrop and playground. After spending a little while outside we took some more photographs indoors in the newly converted kids room in the loft. I just love that cosy den with views of Alexandra Palace.
