“Everyone who has seen the photos says that they truly capture the joy of the day”
~ Cecelia + Paul
This Morden Hall wedding was so much fun to photograph! Cecelia and Paul have a great sense of humour. I have rarely laughed so much at a wedding.
It was also the first time I had the pleasure of working at the wonderful Morden Hall – an elegant and historic country house set in the middle of acres of National Trust parkland, and (unexpectedly) just a few minutes walk from Morden underground. The rooms are bright and airy and beautifully decorated. There are pretty gardens and lots of space for guests to spread out and enjoy the day. A real hidden gem. The whole house is up for hire so the wedding felt a bit like a house party in a very posh and elegant pad.
Like with lots of my couples, it was super important to Cecelia and Paul to have candid and natural photographs from their wedding day – nothing too staged or cheesy (no brides gazing out of windows holding bouquets). They wanted fun photos that show what actually happened on the day and capture their personalities as well as those of their family and friends.
The day had so many great bits but my absolute favourite part were the Indian drummers. Cecelia and Paul surprised their guests with being led into their wedding breakfast by traditional Indian drummers (Paul’s heritage is Indian). The drummers were incredible and the energy they brought with them was amazing!
Cecelia and Paul – thank you so much for having me! What a great day! You are two amazing human beings. I wish you all the best for the future – may you have a long and happy life together.
