This is such a fun photo, and one of my favourites from last year.
I took this picture at Sally + Toby’s wedding at the amazing Londesborough Pub in Stoke Newington. The speeches were really informal. Rather than sitting at tables, the guests gathered around the speaker. Toby’s speech was wonderful – very touching and funny at the same time. Toby got quite emotional during the speech and Sally came and stood next to him to hold his hand, hug him, cry with him and giggle with him during the funny bits.
I really enjoy photographing speeches at weddings. It’s a great opportunity for me to capture some fantastic expressions, not only from the couple but also from guests. And I love finding out little details about my brides and grooms.
