How great is the new Hackney Town Hall Atria?! What a stunning space for a wedding!
And what a gorgeous wedding this was! Lisa and Nik are two relaxed, fun and very lovely humans who wanted to celebrate getting married with a proper party, and let go of a lot of the classic wedding traditions.
I absolutely adored Lisa’s orange wedding dress – a bold, funky look that totally suited her!
Lisa and Nik had a short, informal evening wedding ceremony at The Atria at Hackney Town Hall – no chairs for the guests, just everyone forming a loving circle around them – and went straight from there into the party. The Atria is a beautiful space with gorgeous light and an indoor/outdoor feel, if you know what I mean. It basically feels like you are celebrating in a pretty courtyard, with all the benefits of actually being inside, which can be pretty handy given that we are talking about London.
One of my favourite parts of Lisa and Nik’s wedding – and there were many – was when their adorable dog Bella briefly joined the celebrations on the steps of Hackney Town Hall. I have never seen a dog so excited – other than maybe my Lula when she stumbles upon a sausage roll on the streets of Wood Green.
