Putting together the blog post for Emma and Simon’s Walkern Hall wedding was really lovely. Memories of a sunny summer afternoon in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside was just what I needed during this soggy and glum October week.
Emma and Simon got married in one of the prettiest churches I have ever seen – St Peter’s in Benington. There is a winding pathway that leads up to the picturesque church, which has adorned Benington for hundreds of years.
After the ceremony, we moved a few minutes up the road to the gorgeous Walkern Hall, where a marquee had been put up in the grounds, decorated with stunning greenery and flowers by the talented Foxgloves & Alice.
Emma and Simon are parents to a two-year old little boy. The vast and pretty grounds of Walkern Hall made for a great choice for a child-friendly wedding.
What I loved most about Emma and Simon’s wedding was the relaxed and laid back vibe. It felt like a group of friends getting together on a sunny afternoon in beautiful surroundings to have fun and spend time with each other.
Emma and Simon – thank you for letting me tell the story of your wedding day. May your life together be filled with many more sunny afternoons like this one.
