This was the first wedding at the White Horse in Chichester I had the pleasure photographing and it was so great – one of those days where everything just falls in to place.
Kathy is originally from the USA. Kathy and Matt met in London and choose to tie the knot in a quintessentially English village church – St Mary’s in Petworth, followed by a wedding reception in a cosy country pub.
Matt grew up in Sussex. Matt and Kathy have spent many happy hours walking in the beautiful South Downs National Park with their puppy Jaffy, who they both adore. Jaffy even made it along to some of the wedding reception and charmed everyone with his gorgeous blue eyes and enthusiasm.
I love working with brides who are as down to earth and relaxed as Kathy. Her and her bridesmaids drove themselves to a public car park in Petworth, bought a ticket from the machine and then walked through the picturesque town up the hill to the church.
Kathy and Matt’s choice of songs in the church put a smile on my face. A string quartet did a beautiful rendition of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” during the ceremony and Bon Jovi’s ” Living on a Prayer” for the couple’s walk down the aisle.
Kathy + Matt – I had such fun spending the day with you guys! Congratulations you two – may your life together be filled with love, joy and laughter.
