I took this photograph during the bridal preparations of Katherine and Bobby’s wedding a few years ago. It was a gorgeous day and there was a special surprise in store for the guests.
Katherine was pregnant. As it was early days, only the people closest to the couple were in the know. Katherine and Bobby chose to announce the happy news during the speeches, which was just lovely and very emotional.
As it was so early in the pregnancy, there were no obvious signs of the little person on board. But I was looking for ways to somehow capture this momentous occasion in the photographs.
That’s why I loved this little moment of peace and reflection after Katherine put on her wedding dress. It tells the story beautifully and shows that Katherine and Bobby’s daughter Malaina was already an important part of their special day.
