Victoria and Marlon had a very small and intimate wedding. And I totally understand why. They have two small boys. In fact, Victoria only gave birth to her beautiful baby boy six weeks before the big day. So they have their hands full and a shorter informal wedding worked really well for them. As they were keeping things short and sweet, they felt a half day wedding photography package was enough for them to tell the story of their day.
I joined Victoria and Marlon in their beautiful Bayswater flat to get some pictures of them getting themselves and their two little ones ready for the big day. As you can expect with two kids under the age of two present, things were a little chaotic yet fun. And there were lots of great candid photo opportunities for me.
We then travelled together to the wonderful Asia House for the wedding ceremony where I have had the pleasure to photograph quite a few weddings now. Close friends and family watched Victoria and Marlon make their vows.
To celebrate, Victoria and Marlon invited their nearest and dearest for lunch at their favourite restaurant, the elegant Orrery in Marylebone. Victoria is originally from Spain and so are many of her close friends. A Spanish guitarist played beautifully whilst the guests enjoyed a glass of champagne.
Just as everyone sat down to lunch, it was time for me to leave. It was a real pleasure to spend a little bit of time with Victoria and Marlon and their families. And it’s always an honour to be a part of such an intimate celebration.
