This was my second Ridge Farm wedding this summer. In June, I photographed Katie and Matt’s Humanist wedding at this wonderful venue. A few weeks later, I was lucky enough to return to this lovely spot in Surrey for Lyndsey and Sam’s amazing wedding. Ridge Farm has it all – beautiful rustic buildings, stunning gardens, and friendly staff. But what I was really surprised by was how different it looked. Each couple had made this wedding venue their own with a very different vibe and feel. It speaks for the venue that it gives couples the freedom to let their personality shine through and create a totally unique wedding day.
Lyndsey and Sam had decorated the venue with a fabulous bright pink theme. The flowers were amazing and there was pink bunting and lanterns dotted across the beautiful grounds. Feathers also played a big part in the theme of the day. Lyndsey looked stunning in a breathtaking dress, adorned with feathers. The wedding favours were feather fans. And the bridesmaids had spent hours decorating the room with hundreds of feather hanging from the ceiling. It was a very stylish and creative day.
Lyndsey and Sam got married outdoors under a beautiful arch of pink roses, which Lyndsey’s Mum had made for them. It was the day that summer arrived in the UK. The sun was shining down and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Lyndsey and Sam’s friends and family formed a circle around them during the ceremony, which was a lovely touch.
Lyndsey and Sam have a very cute baby daughter, who along with Lyndsey was the star of the day. She was toddling along the marvelous grounds, enjoying the bouncy castle and attention she was getting from all the guests. It was really lovely having her around during the bridal preparations. Having a naked baby in nappies run around amongst the dresses, always makes for great pictures.
