When I photograph a wedding, I always make sure that I take lots of pictures of your guests as well as of the two of you as I know they are your favourite people in the world. They are what makes the day special. Of course, it’ll be nice to look back on what your table decorations looked like in years to come but the pictures that are going to mean the most to you will be the ones of you and your loved ones enjoying the day.
I took this picture during the speeches at Katie + Matt’s Humanist wedding. Rather than just focusing on the person making the speech, I move around the room to capture the reactions of the guests.
This is just lovely. You can see how this Aunt and Uncle are still in love after all those years. Wonderful moments like these are what weddings are all about. There is no need to pose people to get beautiful photographs.
