My Everyday – 2015 Round Up

It’s a new year and time to look back on some of my favourite images of 2015. I will begin with sharing my round up of my day to day adventures. My wedding photography favourites will be up on the blog soon.

Even when I am not working, I take lots of photographs. I am constantly inspired by the light, beautiful things around me, and most of all by my little boy Cosmo.

I love the start of a new year and the excitement of the new possibilities it brings with it. The challenge I have set myself for 2016 (along with becoming a super flexible and mindful yoga master) is to take more photographs of routines and daily activities. There are some things that happen so often in our lives that we barely notice them, like reading a good-night story, walking to nursery or getting dressed (which takes a long time in our house). But as with all things with kids these things change so quickly and whilst they seem mundane today, they will be different tomorrow. So rather than getting out my camera just for the days out and special moments, I am going to focus more on noticing and recording the ordinary magic of the everyday.

If you have little ones and love taking photographs, you might even want to join me in this challenge.
